Frequently Asked Questions

How long have you been in business?

Founded in 1996, we have served for over 25 years.

Do you charge for an initial call, or assessment?

No. We believe introductions are like hand shakes. We can offer an initial assessment at no charge, simply because it makes good sense, for both of us. We partner with clients that are a good fit and that cannot be accurately assessed online.

What businesses to you serve?

Our focus has been with Small / Medium business, Legal and Educational fields and Non-Profits at a low rate, as our way of investing back into our local community. Although it may sound like an odd combination, SMBs, Legal, Education and NPO’s technology needs have many things in common. Security (HIPAA), Efficiency, Document Management, Systems Management, are among some areas that we are very well versed in.

How big are you?

Big enough to serve those we accept as clients and small enough to care. TuComp has 2 offices in Southern California. One houses our clients secured, offsite backups and data for DRPs and our technicians and the other houses our back office staff . We do not take on more clients then we can properly serve, thus the “Tu” in “TuComp”.

Do you know HIPAA?

If you knew HIPAA, like we know HIPAA! In a word, “YES”. It was a long and windy road to become HIPAA Compliance specialists. There are not shortcuts. We have helped clients pass desktop or Risk Assessments from Government, Insurance Companies, Self-Audits, Offsite Audits, Onsite Audits, etc. Whether you need help with the Technical, Administrative or Physical portion, we can help.

Educational Technology?

Add your answer here.

When you say you Offer IT and Business Services, what does that mean?

Over 2 decades in the technology field, we have evolved from strictly technical support services-to business consultants-to security specialists. When we assess the Clients’ environment, we listen and ask questions in order to best diagnose the obvious (and the unrecognized) needs. Often the crossover between a safe and efficient technology system, brings with it improved security and business practices. For instance, network or applications updates often introduce better reporting for principles that allow them to quickly address performance bottle-necks, once discovered. Document, template and version management improve workflow, while increasing the security as a consequence.

Why Non-Profits?

We firmly believe that the hand that shakes, leads and receives, must also give.

What do your your service contracts look like?

We offer hourly services at no contract for our clients, but we also offer monthly, full-service contracts at a discounted rate for those clients that have a need to offload their needs entirely, such as: Offsite and onsite backups, Disaster Recovery, Data destruction, Hardware and Software best pricing, Training, System install and repair, Mobile device management, remote access, HIPAA/Security compliance, business reports, etc.

What geographical areas do you serve?

Mostly Orange County, CA. We try to stay local as much as possible. For larger projects, we can travel, or provide offsite video conference training, upgrades and customized installations, as needed.

What does a good fit look like?

We are all about relationships. It all starts with a handshake. That handshake then evolves into action. That trust in our abilities and professionalism and our desire to help your business become better and easier to manage.

It is that same for us. We have to trust that you will take our initial diagnosis and walk with us as we execute a plan that is best for your business. We genuinely invest ourselves into that process, with the expectation that the initial handshake evolves into a relationship.
